Important Information

  • BENEFITS

Mainly used in the late winter/early spring on dairy pasture in Northland where soil sulphate levels are low and rainfall is high

Apply in the late winter for pasture to receive necessary nitrogen and sulphate for the upcoming spring season for optimal pasture growth for dairy production

Ammo 31™ and Ammo 36™ are typically applied in August at a rate of approximately 100kg/ha (equivalent to 30-40kg N/ha)

By applying Ammo 31™ or Ammo 36™ in the late winter pasture will receive the necessary nitrogen and sulphate for the upcoming spring season for optimal pasture growth for dairy production. Of the two fertilisers, Ammo 36™ is more commonly used, due to its higher nitrogen content.
  • USES

Ammo 36™ is often used in the late winter/early spring on dairy pasture in Northland where soil sulphate levels are low and rainfall is high.

  • APPLICATION

Ammo 36™ is typically applied in August at a rate of approximately 100kg/ha (equivalent to 30-40kg N/ha). Most farmers will follow this several weeks later with standard urea applications to continued pasture growth to meet the requirements of the dairy herd.

Actual spreading rates will vary according to farm type, climate, productivity and soil type.  Soil testing and fertiliser plans are available to ensure you use the right product at the correct rate.  Call our Customer Centre for information.

As with most solid fertilisers, Ammo 36™ can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area.  Clean drills and spreaders after use to avoid corrosion.
