Ammo 31™ and Ammo 36™ are mainly used in the late winter/early spring on dairy pasture in Northland where soil sulphate levels are low and rainfall is high.
Ammo 31™ and Ammo 36™ are typically applied in August at a rate of approximately 100kg/ha (equivalent to 30-40kg N/ha). Most farmers will follow this several weeks later with standard urea applications to continued pasture growth to meet the requirements of the dairy herd.
Actual spreading rates will vary according to farm type, climate, productivity and soil type. Soil testing and fertiliser plans are available to ensure you use the right product at the correct rate. Call our Customer Centre for information.
As with most solid fertilisers, Ammo 31™ and Ammo 36™ can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area.
Also, clean drills and spreaders after use to avoid corrosion.
