We engage frequently with other industry groups, government advisors and directly to local and national government to contribute to more practical and pragmatic legislative and regulatory processes. This influence is successful in shaping the regulatory agenda. In the last year, there have been many legislative changes affecting farmers that have required our contribution, including climate change action and freshwater regulations.
We often make submissions in collaboration with other businesses. Most recently we made a submission with the rest of the Sustainable Business Council to the Climate Change Commission to guide the conversation on how best to address greenhouse gases from agriculture and to share our views.
