Spreading Northland was formed in 2010 as a joint venture between Ravensdown and Williamson Spreaders and Cartage Ltd.

Based out of our Dargaville store, Spreading Northland service north to Kaikohe, east to Whangarei, and south to Wellsford.

Spreading Northland operate four full time trucks, plus a specialised mini spreader for lighter soils and crop work.

Spreading Sandford was founded in April 2004 as a joint venture between Ravensdown and Sandford Bros initially servicing central, coastal, and southern Taranaki.

Since 2004, the operation has grown with the acquisition of additional spreading companies, including: Whanganui in 2005, Rae Brothers and Rural Bulk Spreading in 2006, and Tait & McKenzie and Buckleys in 2013.

Today Spreading Sandford provides quality spreading services from South Taranaki through to Hawke's Bay, and has local depots in Auroa, Hawera, Kakaramea, Waverley, Wanganui, Bulls, Feilding, Mangatainoka, Featherston, and Napier.

Rae Bros was purchased from an existing operator by Spreading Sandford in December 2006.

The main operation is based at our Awatoto works in Napier. Trucks work north to Wairoa, and south to Waipukurau.

Rural Bulk Spreaders was purchased by Spreading Sandford in March 2007. The original owner, David Thomson, now manages the business for Spreading Sandford.

They have four spreaders based in Bulls. The area they cover is South Whanganui, Rangitikei, north to Taihape, and south to Shannon in the Manawatu.

Spreading Sandford Wairarapa was purchased from two existing operators in March 2013.

The main operation is based out of our Featherston consignment store. There are two spreaders based in Featherston and one based at Mangatainoka.

Spreading Sandford Wairarapa covers Dannevirke, Mangatianoka, Eketahuna, Masterton, Featherston and Wellington.

Spreading Sandford Whanganui was purchased from an existing operator in 2005.

The main operation is based out of our Whanganui store. There are three spreaders based in Whanganui, and one based at Waverley.

Spreading Sandford Whanganui cover Patea through to Bulls, and north to Raetihi.

Spreading Canterbury was formed in 2008 when Ravensdown partnered with Palmers Transport to create Spreading Canterbury.

SCL run 12 Scania spreading trucks that operate Canterbury wide with accurate in-cab technology. The trucks are Spreadmark certified with experienced and friendly drivers. SCL provide proof of placement through Hawkeye, variable rate applications, liquid nitrogen + gibberellic acid applicator and a specialist crop truck on narrow wheels.

The team based in Southbridge manage an efficient and organised scheduling system to provide the best service to their clients.

Mainland Spreading Aoraki was formed in 2015 when Ravensdown partnered with Mainland Groundspread Services.

The main operation is based in Oamaru, with multiple spreader units servicing North Otago, South Canterbury, and the Mackenzie basin.

Mainland Spreading has a range of specialist spreaders including inter-row cropping capabilities, minimising crop damage, and applying a competitive side-dressing application.

Mainland Spreading Otago was formed in 2015 when Advanced Spreading partnered with Mainland Groundspread Services.

The main operation is based in Milton, with with multiple spreader units servicing Lawrence, Milton, Taieri, Balclutha, Clinton, Clydevale, and the Central Otago areas.
