Strong persistence.
Fast re-growth response after drought.
Standard Endophyte
Suited to regions where pasture persistence is a problem, particularly due to pasture pest predation. Has proven particularly popular in Waikato and Northland with farmers looking for improved pasture persistence.
Suitable for use as a high performing grass under rotational grazing and set stocking in high rainfall, irrigated and dryland regions. Standard Endophyte containing grasses can cause grass staggers in late summer and autumn, and should not be used with highly susceptible stock such as deer or horses.
Insect deterrence: Black beetle adults, Argentine stem weevil, pasture mealy bug, limited tolerance to root aphid.
Low Endophyte
Suited to cooler, wetter regions such as Southland, south Otago and the West Coast where pasture insect pressure is lower. Low Endophyte Matrix is animal safe and will not cause grass staggers or heat stress. It is suitable for all livestock types as a high performing, persistent grass.
Insect deterrence: Nil
