Important Information

  • BENEFITS

    Knockdown and residual non-selective herbicide

Can be used pre-planting for forestry establishment or as a release treatment over newly planted trees

Is used in some crops including lucerne, peas and maize to control certain grass and broadleaf weeds

Terbaflo is the largest forestry release product sold in New Zealand because it can be applied over the top of seedling trees to control grasses and broadleaf weeds.

In peas it is an extremely cost effective and easy chemical to use for controlling most common weeds.

It is one of the few chemicals that can be used successfully for controlling clumpy grasses such as annual, perennial ryegrasses and cocksfoot in established lucerne crops.

Terbaflo has a long half life, and is one of the mainstays in total vegetation control mixes.
  • APPLICATION

Application rates do vary from crop to crop so it is wise to read the label prior to use.

  • MODE OF ACTION

Terbaflo is mainly root absorbed but some foliar uptake does occur. It is then translocated in the plant to inhibit photosynthesis at the growing point.

  • STORAGE

    • Keep out of reach of children.
    • Store in accordance with NZS 8409 Management of Agrichemicals.
    • Store in original container tightly closed in a locked, dry, cool area away from foodstuffs, fertilisers and seeds.

Please refer to the product label for product handling and storage details.

  • SHELF LIFE

When stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for two years from the date of manufacture. Please contact your Ravensdown Account Manager, or the Customer Centre on 0800 100 123, for further information about the use of any product that is older than this.

  • MIXING

Mix the required quantity in the spray tank partly filled with water and maintain agitation throughout filling and spraying.

When mixing Terbaflo and Parable, add the Terbaflo to a partly filled spray tank and agitate. Then add the Parable with the remaining water, still maintaining agitation.

Terbaflo is compatible with most commonly used herbicides in forestry, lucerne, maize and sweetcorn.
