Important Information

• BENEFITS

  Pasture Guard Nurture is clover safe making it suitable for very young pastures containing seedling clovers. It is very effective on seedling thistles and a wide range of broadleaf weeds in new pasture, allowing the pasture to establish in the paddock. It controls many invasive species and prevents establishment of many weeds.

• APPLICATION

  At all times you should refer to the Pasture Guard Nurture label. Rates vary from weed species and whether the plant is a seedling or established plant. Pasture Guard Nurture can be tank mixed with most commonly used herbicides and insecticides.

• MODE OF ACTION

  Pasture Guard Nurture contains MCPB with a spike of MCPA. MCPB is taken up by the leaves and translocated to the growing points. Plants that are susceptible to MCPB convert MCPB to MCPA, which accumulates in the growing points and disrupts cell division and growth. Plants such as clover and peas do not make this conversion, so are unaffected by MCPB. The amount of MCPA in the formulation is not sufficient to cause significant damage to susceptible plants at label rates.

• STORAGE

  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Store in accordance with NZS8409 Management of Agrichemicals.
  • Store in the original container, tightly closed in a locked, dry cool area away from foodstuffs, fertilizers and seeds.
  • Stores containing 100L of Pasture Guard Nurture require signage and secondary containment.
  • Stores containing more that 100L of Pasture Guard Nurture require emergency response plans.

• SHELF LIFE

  When stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for two years from the date of manufacture. Please contact your Ravensdown Account Manager, or our Customer Centre on 0800 100 123, for further information about the use of any product that is older than this.

• MIXING

  Mix required quantity in spray tank partly filled with water and maintain agitation through filling and spraying. Pasture Guard Nurture is compatible with most commonly used herbicides.
