Ravensdown’s Agri-Women take it to the Next Level

Ravensdown is helping to take Agri-Women to that next level in business through its support of the Agri-Women’s Development Trust (AWDT).

As well as being an AWDT strategic partner, Ravensdown is home to a growing number of alumni, including three recent graduates of the Trust’s Next Level course.

Ravensdown Agri Managers Nicole Adam, Julie Kearney and Katie Robson were among the latest to graduate from the course in Invercargill.

Nicole says completing the Next Level course with AWDT was a game-changer at this point in her career.

“It not only helped me identify my strengths, but also gave my confidence a kick-start so I can be a leader in the New Zealand ag sector. I can’t recommend it enough for other woman who are ready to level-up.”

A six-month leadership and governance development programme, Next Level aims to empower women to make a positive impact on New Zealand’s food and fibre sector, and in rural communities.

AWDT General Manager Lisa Sims says the programme is all about helping women to better understand themselves as leaders and build the mindsets, skills and courage to lead through change in their areas of interest in the primary sector and rural communities.

“Next Level is designed for change-makers and aspiring leaders across the sector, from farmers and growers to rural community-builders and those involved in primary industry. The programme combines individual learning and support from facilitators and coaches, with the added power of a cohort-for-life – a group of like-minded women who grow to trust and support each other for the journey ahead.”
