Ravensdown has appointed Stephen Esposito as General Manager Operations.

A Canadian native and Christchurch resident, Esposito has over 20 years of international experience and was previously General Manager, Export Operations at Solid Energy New Zealand. He has considerable experience in operations, risk management and strategy development. A professional engineer, he has a passion for environmental performance and safety.

“Ravensdown is clearly focused on the future of farming in New Zealand and leading the way in providing innovative solutions. I’m looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead,” said Stephen.

Stephen’s remit covers the three manufacturing facilities at the farmer-owned co-operative and nine aglime quarries. Superphosphate is produced at sites in Napier, Dunedin and Christhurch and the Operations team employs 176 permanent personnel.

Greg Campbell, CEO of Ravensdown, said the quantity of quality candidates was exceptional and he was delighted to welcome Esposito to Ravensdown.

“We are all about helping farmers reducing their environmental impact and optimise value from the land, so we have to consider and mitigate our own impacts across our operations. I’m excited about Stephen joining us because he brings such a wealth of experience and a personal commitment to improving our environmental performance.”
