Johanna Smith, who is looking forward to starting our graduate programme from February, has been awarded one of only five ANZ Future Leader scholarships.

Johanna has actually been working part-time for Ravensdown as she completed her Ag Science degree, and will use the scholarship to study a graduate diploma in Chinese through Massey University.

After Christmas and before she starts full-time, Johanna is heading off to China to improve her Mandarin.

She is a former winner of the Ravensdown Hugh Williams Memorial Scholarship and has this advice for anyone thinking of joining Ravensdown:

If you know what you want to do and which company you want to work with, don’t wait! I remember the Ravensdown Agri Manager’s visits to my parents’ farm and I knew I wanted to do something like that. They’ve been very flexible to get me on board before the grad scheme has even started and everyone has been so welcoming. I’m excited about what the next year will bring.
