Regionals are now finished for the 55th season of FMG Young Farmer of the Year and finalists are preparing to take over Timaru for the Grand Final. Held over three days from Thursday 7 July, seven grand finalists will be battling it out for the title of FMG Young Farmer of the Year and their chance to win around $90,000 worth of prizes.

In addition, there will also be 28 FMG Junior Young Farmers of the Year and 63 AgriKidsNZ competitors competing from across Aotearoa.

Congratulations to all of the 2023 FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Finalists.

Grand Final events and locations:

• Thursday 6 July – Parade and opening ceremony, Speights Ale House to Caroline Bay Soundshell, 3pm – 4.30pm
• Friday 7 July – Practical day for all categories, Winchester Showgrounds, 8.30am – 3pm
• Friday 7 July – FMG Junior Face-off and AgriKids Awards and FMG Young Farmer speeches (ticketed event)
• Saturday 8 July – Community Day, O’Kanes Farm, 100 Hides Road, Seadown (Fonterra supply number 38014), 10.00am – 11.30am
• Saturday 8 July – FMG Young Farmer of the Year Evening Show (ticketed event)
