Important Information

  • BENEFITS

A readily soluble form of potassium sulphate

Used for fertigation and foliar application when requiring potassium and sulphate

Lowers the solution pH, reducing clogging of drippers and assisting keeping systems clean

As there is no nitrogen present, helps manage the potassium:nitrogen ratio, which should be high during fruit growth or before the harvest of vegetables

Sulphate of Potash - Soluble is highly soluble, with a maximum concentration of 100g/litre being achievable with continuous stirring for fertigation

Sulphate of Potash - Soluble is virtually chloride free (max 1% Chloride, typically 0.6% Chloride) with the lowest salt index (46) of all the potassium fertiliser forms (e.g. compared to 114 for potassium chloride and 74 for potassium nitrate).

When used for fertigation, this product helps to lower the solution pH, thus reducing clogging of drippers and assist in keeping micro-irrigation systems clean.

As there is no nitrogen present in Sulphate of Potash - Soluble, it is easier for growers to be able to manage the potassium:nitrogen ratio, which should be high during fruit growth or before the harvest of vegetables.

  • USES

Sulphate of Potash - Soluble is a readily soluble form of potassium sulphate, making it the appropriate product for fertigation and foliar application when requiring potassium and sulphate.  Thus this product is ideal for fertigation of glasshouse crops and outdoor horticultural crops and can also be used for foliar applications.

  • APPLICATION

Sulphate of Potash - Soluble is highly soluble, with a maximum concentration of 100g/litre being achievable with continuous stirring for fertigation. Ensure there is complete dissolution before injecting into the irrigation system, and also ensure a filter is used.

Actual spreading rates will vary according to farm type, climate, productivity and soil type.  Soil testing and fertiliser plans are available to ensure you use the right product at the correct rate.  Call our Customer Centre for information.

If used as a foliar application, apply 7-10 kg Sulphate of Potash - Soluble per hectare per application, dissolved in a minimum of 300 litres water.  Apply either early in the morning or late evening. Avoid foliar applications during the heat of the day.
As with most solid fertilisers, Sulphate of Potash - Soluble can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area.  Store bags in a dry place ensuring they are tightly sealed.
