Product Description

A white liquid

Why Use Sporeguard®

  • Systemic fungicide used to control the fungus Pithomyces chartarum, which causes facial eczema, by spraying onto pasture.
  • Should always be used with the surfactant Sporewet®
  • Sporeguard® and Sporewet® are effective in keeping facial eczema spore counts on pasture below dangerous levels for up to 40 days, hence animals do not induce harmful numbers of spores and should not require the administration of zinc

Withholding Period

Ideally sprayed pastures should be left for 7 days before grazing to allow the spore numbers to decline to very low levels. However, reduction in spore counts starts by 24 hours after spraying and pasture is safe to graze then.

There are no withholding periods for milk or meat when using this product.
